The Independent Designer Pop Shop (ID Pop Shop) opened their latest shopping event in Chelsea Market this week. This is their 8th event since a group of New York-based fashion and accessories designers, under the leadership of Barbara Wilkinson and Raoul Calleja, joined forces to create pop up experiences showcasing exciting design trends and high quality, handmade craftsmanship. This event may be their best one yet.
The current ID Pop Shop features twenty-seven first rate designers of fashion, jewelry, handbags, bath and body products and home decor. I have been following most of these designers for several years, and it is incredibly exciting to watch them achieve more and more success as they leverage their talents and follow their passions independently and as part of this splendid collective.
As I wandered through the spacious venue, I saw bright yet elegant colors, nature-inspired shapes and textures, and sustainable materials as key elements throughout the design collections.

The Independent Designer Pop Shop runs daily 10:30AM – 7:30PM in Chelsea Market (75 9th Avenue) through Monday, July 2nd. I know they have exciting future plans up their sleeve, so stay tuned!
