Peonies are my very favorite flower in the whole wide world. I love all flowers, but there's a special place in my heart for peonies. They are absolutely gorgeous and romantic, and they smell so wonderful. How about the weather this weekend?! I hope you were able to spend time outside with your mom! I gave two tours of the World Trade Center Memorial Plaza on Saturday, but James brought home some tasty treats from the Greenmarket. (I've been a volunteer tour guide of the World Trade Center site with the 9/11 Families Association since 2006.) He cooked up the gorgeous, leafy kale in the photo with some ramp butter and the last of the fat ramps in the market for dinner last night. He also got several round ruisbrods, but we at them up before I could take their portraits. I received an email from the person who purchased this earring and necklace set at the Union Square Holiday Market in December. She has lost one of the earrings, and she would love to contact the jewelry designer who made them so that she can replace the missing earring. But she doesn't have the name of the designer, and the holiday market team does not recognize these particular pieces.
