I recently surpassed a milestone: 750 stories, right here on Markets of New York City!
I started this site as a blog in December 2009 because my guidebook was finished and in my editor’s hands, but I didn’t want to stop writing. I still feel that way, perhaps even more strongly. Every single time I visit a market, at least one person or product I see, touch or taste blows me away. And it is usually more than just one.
So I’m not about to stop any time soon, as long as makers keep making, bakers keep baking, farmers keep farming, collectors keep collecting, and shoppers keep shopping in the artisan, farmer, food and flea markets in this city.
So let’s all do that, okay?
Scroll around on this word cloud that I made for you with some of the words I use most when I write.
Thank you for all your encouragement and support over the years. The feeling is mutual.
