There are so many things to say about this lampshade and its pair that we saw on a recent Saturday at the East Side Community School Flea Market. They had a groovy disco ball quality. The sunglasses were super cool aviators. The silver top light bulb was a thoughtful and perfect match. And there was the ironic charm of a lamp so bright it needed its own sunglasses. Inside. At night. Whoever made it was a visionary.
Inevitably, while I was pondering all the potential puns and just trying to get my head around it all, someone walked up and bought both lamps without a second thought. They totally went to the right home.
