As James and I strolled through the Bedford Barrow Commerce Village Craft Fair two weekends ago, we came across the dreamy paintings and prints by Edie Pijpers of Edie art.
She paints colorful, joyful images of tiny people in big, beautiful worlds. They fly in balloons over the Chrysler Building. They swing from tulips. They sail on pink oceans. To be honest, after the month we’ve had, I got a little choked up over her innocent and idyllic paintings.
Edie is exhibiting at the Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit this weekend. Please go see her work in person at University Place and East 12th Street and spend a little time in her worlds.
