Thank You, Greenwich Village!

We thought it would be fun to invite several outstanding food purveyors from a variety of food markets to set up a mini-market with tastings and shopping after the presentation.  A heartfelt THANK YOU for the the amazing spread and for their important commentary during the Q&A session to:

  1. Amy Scherber, Lisa Blankman and the team from Amy’s Bread,

  2. Rob Kaufelt, Beth Griffenhagen and the team from Murray’s Cheese, as well as Nina Planck for wonderful insights into the London Farmers Markets,

  3. Rhonda Kave, Proprietor of Roni-Sue’s Chocolates,

  4. Wendy Smith, President of  SchoolHouse Kitchen, and

  5. Evelyn Evers, Co-Founder of  Sour Puss Pickles

To everyone who attended, I thank you for coming, for asking great questions, and for your fortitude in sitting through the entire presentation while the smell of cheese and bread wafted over us all!  Thank you for supporting for my passion for the markets and for shopping at  your own favorite ones!

And a very special thank you to Dana Shulz and the GVSHP for making this evening possible.  Your work is incredibly important to preserving the features and institutions that make Greenwich Village such a unique and wonderful neighborhood to live in, to visit, and to shop.

I thought you would enjoy seeing some photos of the event.  The top gallery is by my talented friend and colleague Ed Lefkowicz.  The bottom gallery is by my better half, James Wesolowski. [nggallery id=122]
