James L. Barry’s Dinks: Magnets, Figures, Ornaments
Happy Pride Weekend! I recently met Illustrator James L. Barry at the wonderful School of Visual Arts’ Makers Market. James has created a line from his drawings, which he calls Dinx: figurines, magnets, and holiday ornaments featuring pop culture icons. Spot Rupaul and the Spice Girls in this picture, if you can take your eyes off the drag queens and gogo boys. Who else is ready for a Drag Race tree in December?
This is the weekend for night markets! So if you are looking for something to do on Saturday night, bring your friends to one of several night markets in town! It’s also a great weekend for shopping in Lower Manhattan to check out the new Artists & Fleas and Brooklyn Flea venues in Soho!

Brooklyn Flea in Soho: Last weekend, the Brooklyn Flea opened it’s massive venue in Manhattan! It’s a great, raw space filled with your favorite BK vendors.
