This weekend, you can enjoy some of the best seasonal and annual market events of the year, in addition to the wonderful on-going markets. Essex Street Market is turning 76 years old! Makers are coming to the city from around the country for the Renegade Craft Fair and the 100-Miles Pop Up at Artists and Fleas (see below). There is plenty of local food in the markets this weekend too! If it’s vintage you love, check out the Hell’s Kitchen Flea (pictured), where amazing treasures abound!

All-Vegan Food Festival: Plant Based Bushwick presents a day of delicious food, speakers, yoga and other healthy life demos, all perfectly safe for vegans and their non-vegan friends. 10AM – 6PM, LightSpace Studios, 111 Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn

BBC Fine Art and Fine Craft Fair: This year marks the 23rd anniversary of this wonderful community crafts and arts show. Wander the tree-lined streets of Greenwich Village, shop from local artists and artisans, and enjoy a bite to eat and some live music. Down To Earth Farmers Market Chelsea: I am so exited to have this market open again for the season, but not nearly as excited as the neighbors on 23rd Street are! Find beautiful produce, sauces, olive oil, baked goods, seafood, and even samosas! 9AM – 5PM, North Side of 23rd street jast of 9th Avenue, Manhattan

Essex Street Market Block Party: This historic food market on the Lower East Side is celebrating its 76th birthday! Come out to celebrate with the market vendors and local restaurants for grilling, chilling, and music in the street. 12PM – 5PM, Essex Street Market, 120 Essex Street, Manhattan

West 102nd & 103rd Streets Spring Bazaar: The Block Association is holding its annual bazaar and yard sale, where you can find lightly used household goods and clothes, as well as books, and loads of other treasures. 10AM – 5PM, West 103rd Street between West End Avenue and Riverside Drive, Manhattan

100-Miles Pop Up at Artists & Fleas: This weekend and next, Artists & Fleas in Williamsburg is hosting the 100-Miles Pop Up, featuring artisan and small batch makers from within 100 miles of New York City. It’s going to be amazing. 10AM – 7PM, 70 North 7th, Brooklyn

Manhattan Markers Market: This is the first Makers Market, which offers a collection of 80 makers on Bleecker Street, in the heart of Greenwich Village. The list of vendors is impressive and exciting. Shop here and at the BBC Fair on Saturday – it’ll be a wonderful day for shopping locally and handmade! 11AM – 7PM, 159 Bleecker Street, Manhattan

Nolita Market: Also along the Lower Manhattan market route, the Nolita Market is a lovely gathering of talented New York designers of jewelry, fashion, graphic tees, candles, and accessories.
