ATTENTION VENDORS: Grand Central Holiday Fair Open Call April 5 & 6, 2016
Grand Central Holiday Fair Casting Call April 5 & 6, 2017
A call for potential vendors to join Grand Central Terminal’s acclaimed annual event.
WHAT: Grand Central Terminal is hosting a call to artists in April for its 2017 Holiday Fair. Artisans are invited to the Terminal to show samples of their products and receive feedback from Holiday Fair merchandising consultants. The focus of the Holiday Fair is on locally made and American-made merchandise. Products are required to be made by hand. Highly selective about the artists chosen to participate, planners spend the year looking for unique vendors. A range of products and price points guarantees that New Yorkers, commuters, and tourists alike can find interesting gift items for others as well as covet-worthy items for themselves. Each year, products include artwork, clothing for all ages, men’s/women’s accessories, children’s clothing/toys and home goods.
More than 1 million shoppers visit Grand Central Terminal each day of the Holiday Fair. Artisans in recent GCT fairs not only have sold high volumes of product, but also have landed high-profile wholesale accounts with major retailers, sold pieces to museums, broadened their retail client bases, and have been profiled on local and national TV.
For this year’s artisan call, merchandising consultants are primarily interested in the following categories: men’s accessories, tabletop, children’s, home décor, pottery, glassware, art, photography. Food products will not be evaluated at this time.
WHEN: April 5 and 6, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. **First come, first served within designated hours. Those who arrive early are most likely to be reviewed. Due to potential high-volume attendance, Holiday Fair personnel cannot guarantee artisans will be seen.
WHERE: Vanderbilt Hall, Grand Central Terminal, 89 East 42nd Street, New York, NY
INFO: Since its inception, the Grand Central Holiday Fair has been a must-shop destination during the holiday season, and the longest-running indoor holiday market in New York City. The 2016 Holiday Fair will start on November 13 and run until December 24, 2017.
