Holiday Markets 11/30 – 12/1 + Menswear by C. Joseph Clothiers

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! And now we are fully launched into the holiday season, with over 50 holiday markets going on throughout the month.

This weekend is the NY Creates Holiday Art and Craft Show with the BWAC Brooklyn Waterfront Arts Coalitio. I went to their first weekend event and met up with my friend Catherine Joseph of C. Joseph Clothiers.

Catherine makes irresistible menswear using luscious tweed, wool and cashmere fabrics. I always say that men flock to Catherine’s clothing like women at the Barney’s Sample Sale. Any man who wants an alternative to a sweater, blazer or sport coat needs to come see Catherine’s latest collection.

Meet Catherine and many other local crafters and artists at the show this weekend in Red Hook. If you know Red Hook already, you’ll be able to get there easily. If you’ve never been, it’s a fascinating and beautifully unlikely neighborhood. Definitely worth seeing this weekend.

Go to NYCreates for directions. I took the Ikea shuttle from Borough Hall and walked about 7 minutes. No problem at all.
