Enamel Bowl by Kiln Design Studio

This intriguing, small enamel bowl felt lovely in the palm of my hand. It is part of a set of three little bowls made by Elissa Ehlin and James Leritz of Kiln Design Studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

I was drawn into their beautiful and peaceful boutique at the Grand Central Holiday Fair. The copper enamel works of art by Kiln have so much depth and complexity. The colors range from natural tones to bright colors, and each piece is hand made and therefore has a unique color and pattern in the enamel. Elissa and James make bowls of all sizes, as well as enamel jewelry.

If you have art lovers on your list, or anyone who needs a little zen-like beauty in their lives, then please stop by Grand Central and have a look at Kiln Design Studio. These museum quality works are meaningful holiday gifts — if you can bear to put them down.
