Weekend Market Picks April 30 & May 1, 2016: Rubyzaar Baked Rice Krispie Rolls

Earl Grey, Dark  Chocolate, and Smoked Almond Kashmir Rice Krispie Roll from Rubyzaar Baked at Smorgasburg

Every December, I look forward to having one of the most amazing cookies in the world at the Union Square Holiday Market. The cookie is called the Kashmir, and it is made by the lovely and brilliant people at  Rubyzaar Baked, with Earl Grey (bergamot), dark chocolate, and smoked almonds. It is an epic cookies. Rubyzaar Baked is now at Smorgasburg every weekend, and so I no longer have to wait till Christmas! Not only that, but they have expanded the Kashmir to their incredible bergamot egg creams (they make other delicious, non-traditional flavors too), and also to the humble Rice Krispie Treat.

Rubyzaar Baked has invented the Kashmir Rice Krispie treat on a stick. They make the Rice Krispie mix with the Earl Grey bergamot, roll it out, and cover the top with the dark chocolate and smoked almonds. Then they roll it all up into a log. They cut thick slices from the log and put them on a stick to make it easy and less messy to eat in the market. All of the flavors just work together, and I am grateful that Rubyzaar thought of something this delicious.
