Union Square Greenmarket: I usually like to promote the lesser-known neighborhood farmers markets, but sometimes Union Square is just too packed with great stuff not to talk about it. Asparagus, maybe the last of the ramps if you’re lucky, kale everywhere, fresh mint. And book signing with the fabulous Louisa Shafia, author of The New Persian Kitchen.
