Weekend Market Picks June 4 & 5, 2016: Stylish Bags from Insiders1

Photographer and Designer Sigal de Mayo of Insiders1

I am happy to feature my friends at Insiders1 this weekend for a number of reasons. Sigal de Mayo and Fabio Otalora make bags and accessories that are beautiful, fun, and practical.  The designs are created from Sigal’s original photography, and the products are manufactured locally in the Brooklyn Navy Yards.

I love how they capture the iconic side of New York, like the Statue of Liberty and the Coney Island Cyclone Roller Coaster, and also the more subtle magic of the city, like the view from DUMBO or the inside of a subway station. They also feature images from other beautiful cities, including Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Berlin, and Amsterdam. Find Insiders1 this weekend at both the Nolita Market and the Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit!
