For everyone who didn’t drown on Thursday, we all deserve a beautiful spring weekend! It looks like Saturday is going to deliver. Not sure about Sunday yet, but no matter because there are some great markets going on throughout the city!
Saturday, May 3
Harlem Seoul at El Boar-rio: This is the first food event by El Boar-rio since last season and since the Urban Garden Center re-opened after the horrible gas explosion in March, right across the street. Show your support and chow down on a fusion of Korean foods and the tastes of Harlem by the very awesome Chef Jon Han. St. George Greenmarket: Staten Island’s first of two Greenmarket opens for the season today! It’s set on a hill with views of the New York Harbor and the Manhattan skyline. Crafts on Columbus: If you haven’t been to Crafts on Columbus, go now, as this may be the final one. I have loved this event for many years for the high quality of vendors and for the beautiful venue on the Upper West Side. It provides income for dozens of artisan businesses and their employees, and it is an amazing place to pick up brilliant gifts for Mother’s Day. Hester Street Fair: They’re back! This awesome LES market is back for the season with a great collection of artisans, food and vintage vendors. It’s a great place to just hang out at a picnic table with friends too. 11AM – 6PM, Corner of Hester and Essex Streets, Manhattan [Map]
Mad. Sq. Eats: This month-long food market open this weekend with over 20 food vendors to appeal to every palate.
