Hiya, Hyacinths! All I want to do is walk through Union Square and enjoy all the beautiful flowers available. Spring is great that way. The colors are incredible – pinks, yellows, lavenders, purples, whites, orange, red – you name it, you can find a flower in that color. Here are some of lovely posies that agreed to let me photograph them. I could not have asked for more beautiful models. Except maybe for the Araucana eggs nearby, but that’s for another day and another story.
It is virtually impossible for any woman to pass the bright, sparkly, feathery head bands by Dora Marra of Headdress NYC and not at least try one on. Then another. And another. And before you know it, there’s more giggling and sparkling in Dora’s market boutique. So we picked up a ton of birthday gifts. Of course that assumes that I’ll actually want to give any of our treasures away, but that’
Peonies are my very favorite flower in the whole wide world. I love all flowers, but there’s a special place in my heart for peonies. They are absolutely gorgeous and romantic, and they smell so wonderful. This weekend James picked up an armload of different kinds of peonies from James Durr Wholesale Florist out of Burlington County, New Jersey at the Union Square Greenmarket. Aren’t they magnificent? Mr. Durr confirmed that he will be back this Saturday with more peonies. I
